Hailwood's Rise accident victim named

by isleofman.com 6th June 2008
The motorcyclist who died in a road accident at Hailwood's Rise on Thursday afternoon was a 44 year-old man from Stoke-on-Trent.

Neil Joseph Edge had come to the Island with members of his family and friends, to watch the TT races.

He was involved in a collision in which another motorcyclist was seriously injured.

Police are renewing their appeal for information from anybody who witnessed the collision, or saw either of the motorcycles before it happened.

Mr Edge was riding a black and silver Suzuki GSXR 1000, and the other bike was a silver MV Augusta R 1000.

They also still want to speak to the rider of a light blue Moto Guzzi, with the registration number LGH 456 T, which is thought to have come very close to being involved in the collision.

The motorcycle is registered to a Mark Brown from the Gloucester area.
