Everybody invited to Barrio Fiesta

by isleofman.com 6th June 2008

A community event designed to bring together some of the diverse cultures in the Isle of Man takes place on Saturday.

The local Filipino Association will be hosting the Island's first Barrio Fiesta International, which translates from Spanish into neighbourhood party.

It will feature songs, dancing and food from a number of countries.

One of the organisers, Robert-Louden Brown hopes as many people as possible get involved (audio file attached):

The Barrio Fiesta International will be held in Derby Square, Douglas from 10.30am on Saturday.
