The Island will enjoy its first visit from an aircraft carrier in more than ten years this evening (Mon).
The Ark Royal will sail into Douglas Bay around 9pm and stay for around 30 minutes before heading up through the North channel to the west of Ireland.
The Lieutenant Governor, President of Tynwald and Chief Minister will all be on board and will be flown back to the Island by helicopter to Ronaldsway.
