Danish biker 'going too fast'

by isleofman.com 9th June 2008
A Danish biker who died last Monday was going too fast to take a bend properly, an inquest has heard.

Klaus Bregnen Kristensen died on the afternoon of June 2 after crashing his Honda Fireblade on the Jurby Coast Road.

The hearing was told by friends Mr Kristensen been riding so fast he’d been forced onto the wrong side of the road into the path of an oncoming van, which had no chance to avoid him.

Mr Kristensen, a 30 year-old steel worker from Hillerod, died from blunt force trauma.

Coroner of inquests Michael Moyle said the van was being driven in a proper manner and recorded a verdict of accidental death.
