Police are appealing for witnesses after what's referred to as a 'serious disturbance' on Central Promenade over the weekend.
It happened at around 7.30pm on Saturday (7th) outside Colours Nightclub.
A number of members of the public were both inside and outside the premises and it was still light.
Police say people were walking on the pavements, and a young boy was passing on a scooter. Several vehicles were passing at the time, and at least one, a dark 4 x 4 stopped at the scene.
Three men have been charged in respect of this disturbance and will appear in court this morning (Mon).
Whilst stressing that disturbances of this magnitude are very rare on the Isle of Man, police are appealing for any members of the public who witnessed this incident and who have not yet spoken to police to get in contact on 631 212.
