Heroin user bailed

by isleofman.com 10th June 2008
A 20 year-old woman has admitted buying heroin for her own use.

Zara Jones of Empire Terrace, Douglas, appeared before High Bailiff Michael Moyle on Saturday.

She was detained in Woodbourne Square just after 6pm on June 6, and police found a wrap containing the drug in her bra.

Jones told officers it was for her own use and she had bought it for ?25.

Duty advocate Nigel Caldwell told the court Jones was in breach of a suspended sentence from the Court of General Gaol earlier this year and wanted to see her own advocate.

She was granted bail until June 17, but must observe a curfew and report to police daily.
