Run-down properties suggestion

'An interesting concept' is how the Island's environment minister responded to the possibility of the government buying run-down properties on the Island, doing them up and then releasing them to be bought by first time buyers.

On Manx Radio's Talking Heads today, John Shimmin said one problem was the effect it had on property prices when the government appeared with its cheque book:
