Minimum wage to go up

The adult minimum wage in the Isle of Man is set to go up to ?6 per hour.

That's a well-above-inflation rise of 7.1 % - and if agreed by Tynwald next week, the new rate will come into force from October.

The Island's minimum wage remains above the UK adult rate - which will rise to ?5.73.
