MHK says buying booze is 'too easy'

An MHK is claiming the Island's alcohol problem is serious - and getting worse.

Onchan member Peter Karran will raise the issue in Tynwald next week.

He wants to know what new government initiatives are in the pipeline to combat alcohol abuse - especially among the young

He suggests raising taxes on high alcohol drinks - and stopping supermarkets from selling cut-prize booze.
