Rifles roundup

The latest outdoor rifle shooting session took place at the Sinclair Range in St John's on Monday evening.

Judy Kee won round seven of the Handicap Series with Tom Lord in second.

In round seven of the Tynwald Shield Derek Kermode finished ahead of John Ward.

Round six of the 600 Competition was a tight affair; Dave Moore and Lara Ward both finished on 583 ex 600 with Dave being awarded first place on score count back.

But he couldn't repeat his success in round three of the Isle of Man Rifle Association's Jamaica Trophy, finishing five points behind Trevor Taubman, who won with 588 ex 600.

And in the IOMRA's Drinkwater Trophy handicap round three was won by Derek Kermode with a score of 592.75, with Les Crowe just one and a half points behind.

Four 100s were registered during the evening; Lara Ward shot two while Trevor Taubman and Dave Moore grabbed one each.

This coming Monday the following rounds of all the above competitions will be shot at the Sinclair Range, with round three of the Olympic Final also scheduled.
