The new political member of the DHSS is easing into his new role as the man in charge of the health division.
Alan Crowe, MLC, is currently working his way around the various DHSS premises and meeting as many people as possible.
He has wide business experience which, he says, will put him in good stead when it comes to handling his division's share of the department's annual budget of ?230 million (audio file attached):
Mr Crowe replaces his namesake Pamela, who failed to gain re-election to the Legislative Council in April.
