MBE for Poppy Co-ordinator

by isleofman.com 14th June 2008
A stalwart volunteer for the Royal British Legion in the Isle of Man is recognised in the Queen's Birthday Honours today.

Audrey Brown from Glen Vine has been awarded the MBE.

Mrs Brown has been County Secretary for 30 years, but is probably best-known as the Island's devoted Poppy Co-Ordinator.

Under her leadership, the Island won the National Poppy Trophy for the 34th time last year.
