by isleofman.com 14th June 2008
A biker who died in an accident near Preston in Lancashire is to have his ashes scattered here.

Twenty-eight year-old John Gowans was killed after colliding with the back of a tractor. He lived in Walton-le-Dale.

He was preparing to come over to the Isle of Man for TT week.

His wife said his great love was motorcycling and he was looking forward to this year's trip.

The family are to travel across to scatter his ashes near to the Mountain Mile, on Snaefell.
