Islander assault update

Two men remain in custody this morning following an incident on Saturday night in which another man received serious injuries.

It happened around 10.20 p.m on Bucks Road near to the 'Islander' chippy.

As a result of the alleged assault, a stretch of road between Kensington Road and Christian Road, Douglas was closed to the public while police carried out enquiries.

It was re-opened again around 2.20pm on Sunday.
