MT moves towards electronic billing

by isleofman.com 17th June 2008
Manx Telecom is attempting to move as many customers as possible onto electronic billing and away from paper bills through the post.

They produce and post 500,000 of the latter every year, so it could be bad news for the Post Office.

The company wants to send as many bills as it can by email which, it says, is good for the environment, although not everybody has an email account.

As an incentive, customers who switch to e-billing and payment by direct debit will save ?1.50 a month.

Other changes include an increase in the minimum call charge and the cost of standard and global choice fixed line tariffs.

The information is in a circular which has been sent to customers by post!
