Lifesize models tour schools

A roadshow which shows children the amazing array of marine wildlife around the Isle of Man has made a return to its schools this week.

The Cool Seas Roadshow aims to give youngsters a greater understanding and appreciation of creatures like basking sharks, minke whales and leatherback turtles by using lifesize, inflatable models.

The Marine Conservation Society initiative was brought to the Island by the Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry.

DAFF Wildlife and Conservation Officer Fiona Gell says the kids are fascinated by the displays (audio file attached):
