Fund set up for tumour operation

by isleofman.com 20th June 2008
A medical lifeline has been thrown to a 28 year-old Douglas man who has been diagnosed with an inoperable brain tumour.

Michael Bellis was told he couldn't have an operation in Britain due to the position and type of his tumour.

However, a neurology centre in Boston, Massechusetts could attempt an operation if he can raise ?40,000.

Michael (pictured) will begin his fundraising when he tackles the Clerical Medical Parish Walk with friends tomorrow, before travelling to America next month for a consultation.

He says he is keeping positive (audio file attached):

Anybody who would like to help Michael raise funds to pay for the operation can contact him on 07624 336387.

Payments can also be made directly into the account of Mr M T Bellis at HSBC. The account number is 62745739 and the sort code is 401938 (Michael's paypal account is: pharjah@hotmail.co.uk).
