New chairman appointed

The Steam Packet has a new chairman.

Robert Quayle, who has been a non executive director of the company since 1996, will succeed Juan Kelly from the next Tueday, June 24.

Mr Quayle (pictured), a lawyer by profession, joined the company that year.

He says he is 'deeply honoured' to be asked to take on the role and will work to ensure a prosperous future for the firm and a high quality service for the Island.

Also standing down later this month are non executive directors Hamish Ross, Walter Gilbey and Dursley Stott.
