Bike show a success

The Laxey Bike Show 2008 has been hailed a success.

Thousands of visitors and locals descended on the village for the event, which was organised by the Moddey Dhoo Motorcycle Club, along with Laxey Traders and Laxey Commissioners.

The BBC's Hairy Bikers were guests and, as well as exhibiting bikes in a wide range of classes, the show featured a wing-walking display, a sidecar trial on the beach and the chance to win a John McGuinness replica bike in aid of the Joey Dunlop Foundation.
