Redundancies likely at G4S

The company which has lost the contract to provide aviation security services at Ronaldsway Airport is warning there is a real likelihood of redundancies among the 28 staff it employs there.

G4S - formerly known as Securicor - has carried out screening services for passengers and bags for many years, but has lost out in a tendering process to the Irish based Resource Group.

Managing director of G4S Stuart McCuddon says it's not all doom and gloom, but he can't see alternative work being found for everybody:
