Island represented in top chef competition

A teacher from Ramsey Grammar School is flying the flag for Manx food after winning a place on a television cookery programme.

Sara Kennedy competed against hundreds of other cooks to win a place in the north-west round of the new show, 'Britain's Best Dish'.

Her winning recipe - steak and ale pie - was made from local ingredients.

Sara (pictured), who teaches chemistry, puts her success down to top-class Manx produce:
