Police probe after drug raid

Inquiries are continuing after police in Douglas seized ?40,000 worth of cocaine.

Four people were arrested when officers from the Drug Trafficking Unit raided a house in Willaston yesterday (Thursday).

And another four have been questioned in connection with a separate drugs seizure in Governor's Hill.

Cocaine worth ?22,000 was recovered during the raid on a house in Willaston Cresent - the operation caused disruption and residents have been thanked for their patience.

Four men arrested there have been questioned at police headquarters.

Officers say the seizure of cocaine worth ?18,000 in Governor's Hill at the weekend is unrelated.

Two local men, a woman and a man from the UK have been questioned and released on police bail.
