Crucial Crew sessions held at college

Messages relating to health and keeping safe, and advice on what to do in an emergency, have been relayed to nearly 1,000 of the Island's ten and eleven year olds.

Year six children from primary schools took part in the popular Crucial Crew event at the Isle of Man College.

The four-day programme is designed to equip youngsters starting at secondary school in September with the information they need to make informed choices and deal with new challenges.

One of the messages was fire safety, explained by firefighter Danny Dooley from the Community Safety team:
