The Job Centre in Douglas is being officially re-launched this morning (Mon 30th)
The facility has been substantially refurbished with a new look, improved services and a new computer system which will provide touch-screen up-to-the-minute information on job vacancies across the Island.
In the first five months of this year the number of jobs advertised is up by 169 on the same period in 2007.
Job Centre Manager Nigel Walker says they're hoping to broaden the scope of jobs on offer:
Mr Walker says it's important to stress that the Centre ISN'T competing with employment agencies on the Island, and it carries all their details along with employment advice.
