Kennaugh second in Brit Champs

There was a strong showing from Manx riders in the British National Road Race Championship with Peter Kennaugh (pictured) grabbing an impressive second place.

He was joined in the top ten by Team High Road's Mark Cavendish (fifth) and his 100% ME team mate Jonny Bellis (tenth).

The event was won by the experienced Rob Hayles.

Kennaugh and Bellis also finished first and third respectively in the Under 23 classification.

The 120 mile race was held at Duncombe Park in Helmsley, North Yorkshire.
