ACU fully behind 'Green TT' plans

by isleofman.com 1st July 2008
Britain's governing body for motorcycle sport has given its full backing to the green TTXGP, which would be the world's first clean emissions Motorcycle Grand Prix.

The Auto-Cycle Union's General Secretary, Gary Thompson, says the organisation is fully behind the principle of the race and believes it's a wonderful concept.

He also believes it could add a new dimension to the event without encroaching on anything the traditional reces have to offer.

Only yesterday TT Clerk of the Course Eddie Nelson was quoted in a local newspaper as saying plans for a Green TT were "pie in the sky" until organisers came up with firmer proposals.
