Film making opportunity

by isleofman.com 1st July 2008
Budding young film makers in the Isle of Man have no need to be bored in the summer holidays.

A two week film school is on offer during August, with the chance to learn about every aspect of movie-making.

It's being run by the Isle of Man Arts Council and is for young people aged between 11 and 23.

This year the school will make a documentary - Multi-cultural Mann - which will be shown at the end of the fortnight.

The Arts Council's Emma Gleave says absolute beginners are welcome as the school will give a step-by-step introduction to film-making (audio file attached):

The film school runs from August 4 to August 15 at St Ninian's High School.

To reserve a place contact the Arts Council on 694598 or e mail: iomartscouncil@dtl.gov.im
