Blow for LVP as Malarkey resigns

by isleofman.com 1st July 2008
A South Douglas MHK has resigned from the Liberal Vannin Party.

Bill Malarkey (pictured) says he made the decision in the interests of his constituents and the people of the Isle of Man, after what he described as ‘restrictions’ were put in place.

He is vowing to continue supporting the party in many of its aims and objectives and is still a believer in party politics.

Mr Malarkey's resignation leaves LVP Chairman and founder Peter Karran as the only member of the party in Tynwald.
