Move and re-branding for accountants

by isleofman.com 1st July 2008
Accounting and audit specialist Grant Thornton has relocated to new offices in Exchange House, Athol Street, Douglas.

The move has been made to allow for further expansion of the company, and the opportunity has been taken for a major re-branding.

The company says the purpose of the re-branding was 'to become a more cohesive global organisation and to stand out clearly from the competition'.

The inspiration for the new symbol is the Mobius strip, discovered by mathematicians in the 19th Century. It is a continuous band which appears three dimensional, and is permanent yet constantly flexible. The corporate colour has been changed from blue to purple, a colour which the company says is 'predominately associated worldwide with leadership, dignity and governance.'

Senior Partner in the Island Dennis McGurgan (pictured) says: 'The last few months have seen significant changes for Grant Thornton and I feel that we are now in a better position than ever to take the company forward, and to further enhance the level of service we provide our clients.'
