The annual Inter-Island meeting between the British Crown Dependencies took place in Douglas on Monday.

Chief Minister Tony Brown MHK welcomed representatives from Jersey, Guernsey and Alderney to the meeting, which discussed a range of issues of mutual interest including tax information exchange agreements, IMF visits and renewable energy.

Attendees included: from the Isle of Man, the Chief Minister and Treasury Minister Allan Bell; from Jersey, Senator Terry Le Sueur, Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Treasury and Resources; from Guernsey, Chief Minister Deputy Lyndon Trott and Deputy Chief Minister Deputy Bernard Flouquet; and from Alderney, President Sir Norman Browse and Richard Willmott, Chairman of the Policy and Finance Committee.

Mr Brown said: ‘Each of the Crown Dependencies has a distinct identity but we have much in common. The annual Inter-Island meeting is a useful opportunity to share views and experiences, and to learn from each other.’

The Inter-Island meeting took place last year in Jersey.
