The Manx Electric Railway will resume its Ramsey service later this month.
The Department of Tourism says the Laxey to Ramsey section will re-open to the public two weeks earlier than scheduled, on Saturday, July 19.
Essential maintenance work has been carried out over the past few months, meaning only the Douglas to Laxey part of the track has been in operation.
Tourism Minister Adrian Earnshaw is thanking the team behind the work, which included laying 22,000 metres of new rail, 2,000 sleepers and 1,300 tonnes of ballast.
The reopening of the northern section will coincide with the annual Railway Enthusiasts' Weekend.
