High level of security for royal visit

Security is being checked along every inch of the royal visitor's route to St John's, in the run-up to Tynwald Day.

Planning has taken many months and police are now finalising their preparations for Princess Anne's visit on Monday.

Extra-large crowds are expected to come out to greet the Princess, adding to the security headaches.

A team of specially-trained officers have been given the task of making sure the whole day runs smoothly.

Chief Inspector Peter Young, the man in charge of security arragements, says the job of looking under bushes and lifting manhole covers starts now:
