Cronk-y-Voddy sports

by isleofman.com 4th July 2008
Organisers of the Cronk-y-Voddy sports day are clarifying this year's event will be on Monday, the same day as the Tynwald ceremony, and not tomorrow (Saturday).

They say there’s been some confusion from members of the public who believed the sports, which raise money for the nominated charity of the Cronk-y-Voddy Ploughing Association, were being held over the weekend in the same way as some other country fairs.

The now traditional part of the Tynwald Day celebrations held in the rural centre of the Island features events for children, a tug-o-war and the Island's best known ‘all comers welcome’ dog races.
