US tax talks with accountants

by isleofman.com 4th July 2008
It's been reported that the United States tax service is going to the world's top accounting firms to try and improve its government's 'offshore tax take'.

On Tuesday next week it's believed officials will speak to the firms to find out 'how they could help find foreign banks that fail to identify US customers holding investment or income in offshore accounts.'

According to the Financial Times, firms involved include Ernst and Young, KPMG and Grant Thornton.
