MHK welcomes DHSS reversal

North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson says he's delighted but not surprised to hear the DHSS has reversed its decision to close three of its care homes to long-stay admissions.

Health Minister Eddie Teare announced on Friday the change was being put on hold due to 'unforeseen and unrelated' financial demands.

But Mr Henderson, who's been a very vocal critic of the policy, remains doubtful about the DHSS's ability to deliver such services, even without those new costs (audio file attached):
