by isleofman.com 6th July 2008
Flowers and an African Choir will help a small rural Island church celebrate its 169th anniversary today (Sunday).

St. James’ Church in Dalby will host the Living Water Community Church African Choir at the launch of the 2008 Manx Heritage Flower Festival.

Eighteen churches and chapels will take part in the event, which has the theme 'Hope Springs Eternal', with floral displays, photographs and paintings all on view over the next week.

The anniversary service, at six thirty, will be led by Canon Brian Kelly with music led by the choir, followed by a Dalby tea.
