Recent efforts to boost the Island's engineering and manufacturing sectors have been praised by the Trade and Industry Minister.

David Cretney says a supply chain workshop led by the North West Aerospace Alliance at the International Business School highlighted many future opportunities for our industries.

Representatives from the Isle of Man Aerospace Cluster were told about potential new markets in China and India.

Also discussions took place - and significant progress was made - on the development of a new Island-based aerospace apprenticeship scheme.
