Cronk-y-Voddy Sports Day

by isleofman.com 7th July 2008
A rural traditional highlight of Tynwald Day takes place in the west of the Island this afternoon (Monday).

Cronk-y-Voddy sports day features events for children, the all-island tug-o-war and the Island's best known (now infamous) ‘all-comers welcome’ dog racing.

The event will raise money for Manx Blind Welfare, the nominated charity of the Cronk-y-Voddy Ploughing Association.

The Marquee at the sports field off the Cronk-y-Voddy straight opens at midday with events getting underway at 2pm.
