New fixtures released

Manx football’s dominant force will start next season up north.

Treble champions St George’s will launch the defence of their Sure Mobile Premier League title with a trip to Ayre United on August 16.

Last year’s runners-up Peel will host newly promoted Michael in a western derby, while perennial challengers St Mary’s and Laxey will meet in the game of the opening day.

There’ll be a southern derby at Glen Road with Division Two champions Colby, on their return to the top flight, entertaining Rushen.

Union Mills will meet Gymns at Garey Mooar with the surprise outfit of last season, Old Boys, at home to Ramsey.

In CFS Division Two, St John’s begin life back outside the top flight with a home match against Douglas and District, while Douglas Royal’s bid to bounce back following relegation will start with a tricky visit to Marown.

Castletown will host Ramsey Youth Centre with Pulrose at home to Malew.

The Police will meet Braddan, Foxdale take on the newly-named Northern Athletic (formerly Jurby) and Ronaldsway entertain Onchan.
