by isleofman.com 12th July 2008
A 44 year-old motorcyclist from Stoke-on-Trent died from a number of severe injuries, an inquest has heard.

Neil Edge was killed when his machine was involved in a collision with another at Hailwood's Rise, near the Bungalow, on the Thursday afternoon of TT week.

A post mortem showed he died from multiple blunt force trauma, primarily to the thorax and upper abdomen.

Me Edge suffered eleven major injuries, including fractures, haemorrhaging and lacerations.

He was airlifted from the scene but died in Noble’s Hospital.

The inquest was adjourned so police inquiries can continue and Mr Edge’s body can be released to enable funeral arrangements to be made.

The court Mr Edge had travelled to the Island with members of his family and friends to watch the races.
