'Armed siege' in Allan Street, Douglas

Police have sealed off an area of Douglas to deal with what is believed to be an armed siege.

No further details have been officially released, but Allan Street was closed by officers shortly after 1pm.

Emergency services are at the scene.

Motorists have been advised to avoid the area, and an outing of children from the nearby Ballacloan Infants School has been cancelled.
