Allan Street incident continues

by isleofman.com 15th July 2008
An area of Douglas remained closed early this evening, while police negotiated with a man barricaded inside a house.

Officers still haven't officially confirmed they are dealing with an armed siege, but Allan Street was closed by officers shortly after 1pm.

Amublance and fire crews were also at the scene.

Motorists were advised to avoid the area and residents of Allan Street were told to stay in their homes until the incident ended.

Earlier an outing of children from the nearby Ballacloan School was cancelled.
