Questioning continues after 'siege'

by isleofman.com 16th July 2008
Police are continuing to interview a 48 year-old man following a six hour 'siege' in Allan Street, Douglas yesterday.

The man, who hasn't been named, was arrested around 7.30pm after an incident which involved police negotiators, armed officers and members of other emergency services.

Residents of the street and nearby businesses were told to stay indoors until the matter was resolved.

It's understood the man had barricaded himself in a house.
