It's the Gateway Games

The 2008 Gateway Games take place at the National Sports Centre this afternoon (Sunday).

Four teams will be competing for the Isle of Man Bank Shield with medals being presented to the first three individuals in each competition.

Head of sports and recreation at the Department of Tourism and Leisure, Quintin Gill MHK, will officially open the Games at ten to two before the action gets underway at two o’clock.

Isle of Man Sports Council Geoff Karran says they'll be plenty going on (audio file attached):
