The Henry Bloom Noble Library in Douglas is on its marks and getting set to keep young people active and reading throughout the summer holidays.

The Summer Reading Challenge begins today (Monday) and children will be given a special pack containing a set of incentives they can earn each time they visit the library.

Children must visit three times during the challenge and, among the activities, can submit book reviews and even take part in a summer sport writing competition.

The initiative is aimed at improving reading range, confidence and enjoyment.
