Port St Mary lifeboat gives aid

Port St Mary lifeboat was launched last night (Sun) to go to the aid of a yacht which had run into difficulties whilst around 6 miles south-east of the village, on passage from Beau Maris.

It was launched around midnight after a request from Liverpool Coastguard

There were two adults and three children on-board the vessel which was accompanied into port by the lifeboat.

She arrived in the harbour at 2.30 with all the crew said to be OK.

The wind was blowing up to 28 knots at the time of the incident, with sea conditions described as 'sloppy'.
