'Think local' message getting through

Local people are buying produce from the Isle of Man, according to the co-ordinator of the 'I love Manx' campaign.

Alison Teare says there has been a definite shift in the spending habits of shoppers, with more making the effort to look for food from the Island.

A field in East Baldwin has been turned into a giant 'thank-you' note to the Manx public, with 'Thanks for choosing Manx' written in 120 foot high letters which can be seen from miles away.

Mrs Teare says the message is getting through to consumers (audio file attached):
