Leadership Development in the North

People in the North of the Island who want to contribute to the community are being offered the chance to develop their leadership skills.

The Isle of Man Children's Centre is joining forces with Friends Provident to launch the Leadership in the Community Programme.

It'll start in September, and initially will be run as a pilot in Ramsey, with the aim of taking it Island-wide next year.

It's for anyone over the age of 16, and while it won't provide a formal qualification, it will give participants skills and confidence.

Children's Centre Chief Executive John Knight (pictured) says it should be fairly obvious who the course is for:
