Puppy prepares for serious job

There’ll soon be a new secret weapon in the fight against drugs coming into the Island’s jail.

Blue the Labrador puppy will be used to find cannabis, heroin, cocaine and amphetamine being smuggled in by visitors or being carried by inmates.

Blue will have to undergo training before joining a crackdown on drug use among prisoners.

But his handler Stan Gorry (pictured) says for the next few months he’ll have a normal life:
