Barks lands plum role

by isleofman.com 30th July 2008
Laxey singing star Sam Barks has landed a plum role in a touring production of Cabaret.

The 18 year old who came third in the TV talent show, 'I'd Do Anything' will play Sally Bowles opposite Wayne Sleep. He is taking the role of Master of Ceremonies.

Sam came third in the TV show but plainly had a great future before her.

She made her first Manx public appearance after the show at the Grandstand during TT.

The production opens in Birmingham on August 29th and runs until April next year.
